Agricultural Seed

The production of the seed we supply is carefully managed, from the initial selection of varieties from the plant breeders, to the supply of high grade multiplication seed to selected growers, and then in-field monitoring by our team of licensed crop inspectors during the growing season. Once harvested, the seed is sampled and assessed for quality prior to processing, following which it is moved to our processing site at Whittlesford, cleaned, treated if required and packed to IBC bags for delivery. All distribution is controlled in house, so by the time the seed reaches your farm gate, it has been under our care for nearly 15 months.

In excess of 95% of our production is certified to HVS (Higher Voluntary Standard), providing the grower with the best possible start to their crop. We offer the full range of seed treatment products and a selection of bag sizes. We are happy to advise on variety and treatment choices, seed rates and marketing options for the produce.

If you are interested in growing seed for multiplication, we would be pleased to speak with you regarding the requirements and about the premium contracts that are available.

Farm Saved Seed

For many growers, sowing their own seed is a cost effective way to establish the next year’s crop. When planning to farm saved seed, it is important to ensure that the crop you are proposing to sow from is varietally pure, clear of weeds, particularly wild oats and grass weeds, and once harvested, kept segregated to prevent varietal or species contamination in store prior to cleaning.

We are able to offer a full Farm Saved Seed service the testing of your harvested seed to ensure suitability for re-sowing, cleaning, treating and bagging of the seed, and management of the royalty collection process, all taking place on your farm, using efficient mobile seed cleaning units.
